We are a group of Nurses based in St James Hospital, Dublin taking part in the Moylagh 50mile challenge 2021. The current covid 19 pandemic has presented our profession with many challenges over the last year and has impacted our Patients greatly, We have witnessed this first hand working on a covid ward throughout the different waves. As our ward changes back to surgical oncology we are undertaking the walk not only to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society a worthy cause but as a positive and team building experience that will help us put the harrowing expereinces of covid behind us and enter our new normal in style.
Walkers: Orla McGill, Emma Heron, Ciara Monaghan, Bridget Cullen, Anne-Marie Fahy, Caitlin Kiernan, Katie Kearney, Katie Howard, Sophie Nugent, Ailbhe O Donnell and Laura Duffy.
