Huge effort Stuart for a great cause! Nearly there!

Hi David & Lorraine, Thanks so much for your generous donation. We smashed our target which is unreal. The cycle was amazing, but I\'d be more sore than a hard day on the rugby pitch! too old! Cheers Stu

Recent Updates

  • Hi to all my donors, As an update to all you fantastic people... To date over €145,000 has been raised. This means a guaranteed €29,000 for each charity. Read below the impact that these funds will have on each of the organisations: Impact of total funds raised from One Good Turn: A Lust for Life The funds from OGT will represent almost 25% of the running costs for 2022; and so will fund a quarter of A Lust for Life’s School programme working with children from 3rd-6th class which will essentially reach 66,250 children around the country!! BlueBox Creative Arts Therapy BlueBox will be able to employ two more therapists to support two DEIS schools, meaning they will be able to see 10 more children for 30 sessions each which means 300 extra sessions and 10 children that would not have got that opportunity, which is brilliant for the children and for the schools, who constantly request more services. Most of the monies will go directly to children/youth services but there will be some left to help buy good equipment too! Cork Counselling services (CCS) This funds will allow CCS to provide approximately 580 counselling appointments for approximately 60 marginalised individuals seeking mental health support. Jigsaw Galway 218 schools across Galway city and county will be able to access The Jigsaw Schools Hub. This is, and will continue to, have significant, positive and long term impact on changing the conversation on mental health in our schools, communities and homes, right across the county. Simon Community Northern Ireland The funds will enable Simon NI to support 6 Wellbeing Practitioners deliver 12 workshops on Mental Health Wellbeing, which will impact approximately 132 people experiencing homelessness with complex needs.
