We're SUPporting Mental Health Ireland and the RNLI. Read our story below to find out why your help is appreciated...

Hi! Thanks for taking some of your time to visit our fundraising page.

So, a little background...
As you may know (or may not), Discover SUP organises and supports community engagement and connection events and activities throughout the year, both on and off the water. Most of these are offered free of charge to participants as our way of taking the stoke we get from working with our clients and 'paying it forward'. We like doing that; it puts smiles on our faces. Not everything has to be driven by money!

So, why are we here...
We've decided that it's time to build on the goodwill of these community events and activities even more. Across 2023 we will use them to drive awareness and help the work of both Mental Health Ireland and the RNLI, two organisations we admire and appreciate. All our work at Discover SUP is consciously driven by 'minding our minds' - staying well in life, and 'minding our bodies' - staying safe on the water. We have very personal reasons for this, which you may also connect to.

So, here's the change...
While we'll continue to offer many of our community events and activities to participants free of charge, we're now inviting optional charity donations. We've set up this ongoing fundraiser to allow this to happen. If you're participating in one of these events or activities, and even if you're not, you can make a donation (of any amount) here. If you're not in a position to make a donation, that's absolutely fine; we understand everyone has different circumstances, and no reasons are needed. We still want you to get involved! As time progresses, funds donated here will be regularly split (50/50) and transferred to both charities.

Simply click the 'donate now' button above. All donations are processed securely. Don't forget that you can also share this fundraiser with others in your SUP communities; the more that know about it, the better!

On a personal note, thank you for your ongoing support of what we do at Discover SUP.

Rose, RNLI - Thank you for supporting RNLI Lifeboats. The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Our brave volunteer Crew spend hours training afloat and ashore to ensure they are ready for whatever a call out will throw at them. With increased use of the beautiful blue sea by sailors, swimmers, paddle boarders and jet skiers together with cliff walkers, RNLI Lifeboats answer many calls for assistance. Maybe a casualty put in an ambulance, maybe a dog returned to it’s owner, maybe a yacht dropped back to a Marina or a child brought back to the beach from a speedy downwind trip – all safely ashore thanks to the support of all our generous donors.

Georgina, Mental Health Ireland - Thank you so much for your support. Every cent raised helps Mental Health Ireland to unite communities, strengthen knowledge about mental health, reduce stigma and give people the tools they need to improve and maintain mental health. Your donation goes into training, education and recovery with the aim that one day mental health will be supported and seen as an essential part of everyone's overall health.
