For those of you that don’t know me. My name is Tony Higgins and I was diagnosed with Neck Cancer in August 2021 as a result of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV).

In males, HPV can detected in the neck. Luckily for me it was caught early at Stage 2. I underwent extensive treatment commencing in September 2021 for 12 weeks which included tonsillectomy, 35 sessions of Radiation Treatment and 3 double doses of Chemotherapy.

During this time I became very ill and I had to spend 3 weeks in St Luke’s Hospital in Rathgar in the December. The Staff and facilities at the hospital were amazing and I cannot thank them enough for all their care and professionalism throughout my treatment.
