🚴 Cycling for a Cure – Mizen to Malin for Irish Motor Neurone Disease 🇮🇪
On the 28th of June, myself (Lizzy), Jordan, Tim and friends are cycling the length of Ireland — 730km over 7 days from Mizen Head to Malin Head — all in support of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).

We’re riding in memory of my beloved mum, and for everyone currently battling Motor Neurone Disease (MND). I especially want to highlight the bravery of those that I have recently met through my work as a nurse.

We ride for those we've lost, and for the families who have been left behind, often carrying the emotional, physical, and financial weight of this devastating illness.

MND is a progressive neurological condition that robs people of their ability to move and speak while their minds remain fully aware. It is as heartbreaking as it is unforgiving.

The IMNDA has recorded a 35pc increase in the number of people using its services over the past decade and about 85pc of their funding comes from public fundraising. They have 6 specialist nurses that cover the whole of Ireland doing amazing work, but this isn't enough.

That’s why the work of the IMNDA is absolutely vital. They provide essential support, equipment, home visits, and advice to those living with MND in Ireland — and they rely heavily on public donations to continue their life-changing work. Without this funding, many families would be left to face this disease alone.

💚 Every euro raised will go directly towards helping those affected by MND live with dignity, comfort, and support.
