Kildare Town Educate Together N.S.

Our mission is to make our school a happy place, where children, their families, and staff feel welcomed and respected, inspired, encouraged, and supported. We ensure that no child is left behind and we want our school to be the place where children grow together allowing each to achieve their greatest individual potential.

overview

As an Educate Together school we are a Multi-Denominational, Co-Educational, Democratically run & Child Centred.

Our Parents are great at raising funds for equipment & educational resources, and we greatly appreciate all help we receive from our community!

where your money goes

Our school recently started a new fundraising campaign to replace the playground infrastructure. This is one of our biggest undertakings so far!

Our objective is to raise €40,000 to enable us to completely replace the playground.

The benefit

With these funds, our school will be able to install a new built for purpose playground that will:

  • Offer improved play value through sliding, climbing, balance & coordination, role play and interactive games.
  • Provide great climbing challenges through the design of the playground.
  • Accommodate and include all ages of children and abilities.
  • Ensure items like swings are included. This is particularly relevant to our ASD classes.
  • Enable the children to play outside all year round.
  • Expand imaginative play within the playground.
  • Challenge children to improve gross motor skills.
  • Provide longevity as the playground will last at least 20 years.

To meet our fundraising goal, it will truly take a village. Are you able to support this incredible cause?

history

Our school has grown extensively since 2015, and we have identified that the current playground is too small for the quantity of children, even though we have staggered yard times to accommodate the different age profiles of the children.

Our research shows that the current playground cannot be extended. The regulations have changed since its original installation, and we would need to do significant upgrades to the current playground to adhere to current regulations. It will be more cost effective to completely replace the playground to achieve our objectives.

Thank you for your support!
