My 4 year old, Róisín, is going to cut 9 inches off her hair to donate her ponytail to Little Princess Trust a charity that make wigs for children with Cancer and other illnesses that cause hairloss.
Anybody who knows Róisín will know that she loves her long hair and from the day she was born she had loads of it. When she was younger her favourite phrase was "I know I'm a girl because I have really long hair". Mammy also loves her long hair, possibly because she never had long hair as a child. Daddy on the other hand is more than happy not to have to brush long hair every morning.
When Róisín saw a picture of a little girl we know without hair because of a Cancer diagnosis at age 9 she immediatelly offered to cut her hair to give to the little girl.
So on top of the hair donation we are also asking for you to sponsor her very brave challenge by making a donation to BUMBLEance, another excellent charity. 100% of the money raised will be donated to the charity.
Haircut will be done by Leah Kelly Hair Design in Gort who have kindly volunteered their services.
