Online Charity & Non Profit Fundraising Services

Open Door provides activities including physiotherapy, art, woodwork, music & ceramics to adults with physical and sensory disabilities. Open Door also offers a much needed break to carers and families.

The Centre provides facilities and activities for adults with varying physical disabilities as a result of stroke, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, spina bifida and road traffic accidents, amongst others.  Activities include art, music, computers, physiotherapy, ceramics, woodwork and gardening and members get a great sense of achievement from their involvement in these areas.  The Centre is also a vital social outlet for its members where they can spend time in a comfortable, friendly and caring environment.  In addition to being an important part of the members lives, Open Door also provides carers with a break and some time for themselves. Open Door is a charitable trust founded in 1984 and while based in Bray has a catchment area of North Wicklow and South County Dublin.

Open Door is partially funded by the Health Service Executive but there is a shortfall which has to be found to provide all of the activities such as Physiotherapy, Art, Woodwork, Ceramics, Computers and Music.    The extended community has been very generous in the past and Open Door relies on continuing support in order to improve and develop the facilities and services provided within the Centre.  Please choose Open Door as one of your chosen concerns.  You will be helping adults with physical and sensory disabilities while also supporting carers and families.
