The Friends of Letterkerkenny University Hospital is a registered charity run by volunteers with 100% of all monies raised going directly to improve patient care at Letterkenny University Hospital.

The Friends have two core objectives:

1. To provide additional medical equipment, facilities, including buildings, services and patient comforts in the hospital which would not otherwise be available from ordinary hospital funds. In addition to provide financial assistance/furniture and services off the hospital campus for outpatients care and others with special needs, which would not otherwise be available from ordinary hospital or HSE funds.

2. To provide voluntary work to support and augment the ordinary hospital services both for inpatients and outpatients.
