Gaelscoil Inse Chor

Gaelscoil Inse Chor strives to teach to all pupils within as energetic and a real learning environment as possible so as all can reach their potential.

In focussing on equality, every attempt is made to recognise and to nurture the talents in both boys and girls, whilst also attending to their individual needs.

Specific emphasis is placed on the safety of our children as they develop physically, academically, emotionally and spiritually throughout the school.

history

Gaelscoil Inse Chor was established on September 5 1977, with nineteen children at the Youth Centre, Emmet Road, Inchicore. Over the next number of years the school moved four times while constantly lobbying for a permanent residence for the growing number of children that wished to attend Gaelscoil.

Finally in 1986 the hard work of the teachers and parents paid off and Gaelscoil Inse Chor received a commitment from the Department of Education to go ahead with the building of a permanent school building.

On September 1st 1988, the children attended the newly built school in Islandbridge.
