Wicklow Cancer Support

Our aim is to provide emotional and practical support to people who had and who have cancer, their families and friends.

Wicklow Cancer Support Centre services are provided free of charge and they include:

- 'Drop-In' Support and Information centre, which is open five days a week and has disabled access. Our volunteers are there to offer a sympathetic ear in total confidentiality.

- Transport to and from hospital appointments.

- Complimentary therapies can be arranged, these include; yoga and reflexology etc.

- Courses on coping with cancer and self help.

- Confidential telephone support is also available.

- One-To-One counselling is available by appointment.

Counselling is provided by qualified and professional counsellors.

- A comprehensive library of books, and pamphlets on issues related to cancer and up-to-date information is provided on cancer diagnosis and treatment.

- If cancer patients cannot come to the Centre our volunteers will visit them at home or in hospital when requested.

- Information evenings on various types of cancer.
