Down Syndrome Ireland
Established in 1971, this year marks 50 years of the charity’s existence, an existence built upon campaigning, advocating, fundraising and celebrating the lives of people with Down syndrome. Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) is the voice of people with Down syndrome and their families throughout Ireland. The charity has over 3,500 members with 25 branches nationwide.
Down Syndrome Ireland provides ‘all-through-life’ support services to people with Down syndrome with specialists in the areas of new parents, health, early development, speech and language, education, employment and independence that enhance the lives of thousands of children and adults with Down syndrome across the country.
Every year DSI needs to raise at least 86% of its €4.2 million costs to continue providing these essential services, and are therefore very heavily reliant on public fundraising. Your very kind support will go towards the work of Down Syndrome Ireland and they are truly grateful to you for helping to make a real difference.
