Sligo Sudbury School is a democratic school with a self-directed learning ethos. Our mission is to provide children with learning spaces that value their choices and empower them to direct their educational journey towards self-actualisation. Our main aim is to provide a safe environment where young people can engage in self-directed learning and democracy, while participating in a community of self-governance and justice where each member’s voice is equally valued and heard.

history
Sligo Sudbury School was founded in 2018 by a small group of parents with a vision of a child-led educational environment, where children can grow as individuals in a community of peers.
