Alcohol Action Ireland

An expert independent voice for policy change on alcohol-related issues.

overview

Alcohol Action Ireland's vision is of an Ireland that recognises and challenges the harm caused by alcohol.

We are not anti-alcohol, but we are 'anti' the harm it causes to children, families, communities and businesses, which is why Alcohol Action Ireland takes what is known as a 'public health approach' to alcohol-related harm.

What this means, in reality, is that we focus oN policies to tackle alcohol-related harm that are most likely to deliver the widest benefits to the greatest number of people within the population.
