overview
Women's Aid is a leading national frontline organisation in Ireland supporting women subjected to domestic violence and abuse. Our National Freephone Helpline 1800 341 900 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Covid-19 has made the world a very small and dangerous place for women being subjected to domestic violence. It is even harder to escape the terror hidden behind the four walls of their homes; to reach out, to talk – to ask for help. That’s why we need your help so urgently. Because there is a way out. A route to freedom. Experience tells us, that at some stage, a woman in danger will finally have access to a phone or she will find a safe moment to secretly reach out. And it’s absolutely critical that Women's Aid is there on the other end of the line at that crucial moment.
