Strandhill Community First Responders

In case of an emergency, every minute counts. A cardiac arrest occurs when a heart stops beating.
The chance of survival decreases by 10% every minute without good quality CPR and defibrillation.
Would you know what to do?

Help us to help you!

When someone calls 999/112 and has any of the medical emergencies listed above, a text message is automatically sent by the National Ambulance Service to all responder phone’s. The responders, people of our local community will be able to provide the care required to the patient while the ambulance is responding.

We have provided the training but now we need your help!

We are looking contributions to help purchase equipment required by the group.

overview

Strandhill Community First Responders (CFR) are community volunteers who are trained to attend certain types of emergency calls.

Strandhill CFR group are linked to the NAS National Emergency Operations Centre and are alerted automatically to an emergency, as we are community based, we can provide medical assistance within minutes of a 112/999 call being received in our local area.

However, none of this is possible without funding as we are run solely on a voluntary basis. We would be grateful if your organisation would consider a donation to our worthwhile cause and enable us to purchase equipment for training.

In order to fulfill our role efficiently we urgently require funding for:

AED TRAINERS

ADULT / INFENT Manikins

Hoping you consider our fundraising request and can help in any way. Any donation to our group will enable us to provide free training in CPR & AED use to our local community. You have specific questions about how your gift/ donation would be used or our organization as whole, please don’t hesitate to contact Shane Feeney or John Garvey through [email protected]
