RNLI Greystones/Newtown Branch
The RNLI saves lives at sea and is funded by charitable donations. This branch is dedicated to supporting the lifeboat in Wicklow Town.
Wicklow RNLI Lifeboat Station was established in 1857, the first lifeboat was a 30 foot rowing boat called DAUNTLESS.
Today the Station has 2 lifeboats crewed by local volunteers.
The volunteer crew are on call 24 hours a day 365 days of the year, ready to go to sea to save those in peril.
