We have chosen to fundraise for NRH Foundation . All the funds raised will go directly to this great cause. Myself and some friends hope to complete this challenge. Our aim is to cycle the length of Portugal (740km) in 6 days to raise €10,000.
These donations will hopefully purchase 2 handbikes, 2 smart trainers and 2 smart TVs, giving newly injured patients access to cycling in a safe accessible environment.
As active cyclists we all know first hand the health and lifestyle benefits cycling can give everyone. My own experience with life changing mobility issues, I believe that making cycling accessible to newly injured patients will greatly improve their health and rehabilitation.
This indoor bike set up will allow cyclist to use online platforms like Zwift, interacting with a worldwide cycling community where they can experience support, education and motivation.
