Each year, the Mater Public Hospital cares for over 420,000 patients, from every parish and community around in Ireland. 

The Mater Hospital Foundation is the official charity supporting the vital life-saving work of the Mater Public Hospital, funding vital initiatives that provide:

• State of the art medical equipment
• New Services and Hospital Redevelopment
• Ground breaking medical research and innovations
• Patient, Family and Staff Supports

We work in tandem with the hospital, supporting projects that simply would not exist without the Foundation or the generosity of our supporters.

We support patients and their families to enhance their comfort and care, such as exercise bikes for patients recovering from heart and lung transplants, right through to groundbreaking initiatives like robotic surgery which is transforming cancer care for patients at the hospital.
