Friends of Mayo University Hospital is set up as a charity for the following:
a. To provide and engage in funding activities to support and promote Mayo University Hospital.
b. To provide equipment and/or facilities for the general improvement of the treatment, comfort and welfare of patients at Mayo University Hospital.
c. To finance and/or provide financial assistance to Mayo University Hospital: (a) for the development, upgrading and/or replacing of its buildings, facilities and/or equipment; and/or (b) to enable it to improve, and/or provide better, healthcare fir its patients and/or general public.
d. To promote the training and/or teaching of staff in support if the services delivered in Mayo University Hospital from time to time.
