Monaleen GAA club, founded in 1957, is located in the heart of Castletroy, a growing suburb to the east of Limerick City and home to the University of Limerick. Our club fields teams in hurling, football, camogie and ladies football, from underage to adult levels. Thanks to the great work by our many volunteers and coaches, coupled with the continued growth of our parish’s population, our club has experienced a dramatic rise in membership numbers in the past five years, particularly within our juvenile section. In 2022, we proudly registered a record number of 850 juveniles, with as many girls as boys. In addition, our club has over 200 playing women and men, with the total membership exceeding 1200 juveniles and adults, including social members.
