where your money goes

Funding essential supplies for handbags, purchasing items needed by the boot on the ground organisations in refuge and outreach, sometimes even funding emergency accommodation. Physical donations of goods and handbags are always redistributed in the area in which they are collected so that communities are giving back in their own areas.

history

What started with a purse in 2017 in remembrance of Cathlene’s grandmother, Carolyn, has now grown into a global nonprofit that can be found in over seven countries. The reality is that 85% of survivors will go back to their abuser after their short stay at the shelter and with family and friends because they have nowhere else to go and no ongoing one-on-one mentorship to assist in finding a job to support themselves and the journey that is ahead. Read more about Cathlene’s why here.

Hopefull Handbags Global is raising funds to open Carolyn’s Haven of Hope Bridge Housing to assist in the huge gap in our society. The Hopefull Handbags open up the conversation. Once we establish what survivors and their children need individually and we know where they are on their unique journey we go to work to make it happen.

Our SHINE and NEW Programs are one on one mentoring that is changing lives for the better

The community gets involved in so many ways! Community members and businesses can donate, volunteer, and/or become drop-off locations.
