Hannah has recently been selected to the Irish U16 Girls Hockey Team. Hockey is one of Ireland's growth sports, in terms of International recognition and participation at junior / youth level. The Irish Women’s senior team are 2018 World Cup silver medallists and will be competing in the Euro Championships this summer, whilst the Irish men are now a part of the elite international FIH pro league.

The Irish U16s Girls are the pipeline to further the success of Irish Women’s Hockey Internationally. This talented group of international athletes get no funding from the Irish Government. Hannah and her teammates along with their parents are responsible for raising the funding required to prepare for and attend two international tournaments where they will be proud ambassadors for their country and Hannah for our town. Funding the Irish U16s Girls team is vital to continue to build the strength of our squads for our National Women’s Hockey teams of the future.

This year there is an excellent player pathway & international fixtures programme in place for the Irish U16s Girls players with participation in 2 overseas international tournaments.

• Aachen, Germany, 4 Nations tournament
• Granada, Spain 8 Nations tournament
