We hope to invest in lighting for our promenade. Last year we erected some lights here, which looked fantastic but unfortunately, due to a combination of an ESB power surge and storm damage, they didn't last. We need to purchase new lighting this year to add to the overall impact. As we plan to synchronise the lighting this year, so that the whole village lights up at the same time each evening,we will need to invest in timers and the workmanship involved in installing these. We also intend getting a light source to the bridge as the battery operated globes, which looked gorgeous, needed a constant supply of batteries and the manpower to change them, which proved to be cost inefficient and over a short period these lights became visually ineffective.
