Maree Community Centre
Maree Community Centre Fundraising Appeal
Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions the Maree Community Centre has been closed for a year. This has had a massive impact on our income stream and our ability to host our fundraising activities eg tea party, social nights etc.
Financially the community centre depends on the rental of all facilities which amounts to approx. 80% of total income, the balance in raised via fundraising and donations and membership of the centre.
Our running costs as well as our financial commitments remain high and we are anxious to continue to meet same so the facilities can remain reopen and be available to our community groups.
Presently there is ongoing operational fixed costs including insurance, light/heat, mortgage repayments, pitch upgrade loans and other miscellaneous costs that must be paid monthly to maintain the upkeep of the building and facilities.
In addition there are now urgent repairs that need to be carried out including, electrical rewiring of the original building, roof repairs and ventilation and carpark upgrade that will incur siginificant costs to enable the community centre to reopen safely.
