The Anam Croí Day Centre provides a socialisation service for older people living with long term health issues or may be socially isolated. The support that the service provides enables people to remain independent in their own homes, in the community, thus avoiding the need for premature entry into long term nursing home care. The service also provides a few hours respite to family/carers who are caring for someone long term.

Anam Croí Housing, which is managed by the charity, provides independent living for older people in 14 homes located behind the day centre.

Funding for the charity is by way of fundraising events, donations and the support of the Anam Croí charity shop with a modest Section 39 Agreement with the HSE.

The Anam Croí Day Centre has the capacity to welcome up to 75 older people weekly.
