Kerry Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) is an independent voluntary body comprising 35 full members, all unpaid volunteers. It is a registered charity and is the only provider of 24-hour search and rescue services to the numerous mountain users in the South-West of Ireland, covering the Dingle and Iveragh Peninsulas in Co. Kerry and the Beara Peninsula in Counties Kerry and Cork. The area boasts 15 of Ireland�s 20 highest peaks, including Carrauntoohil, Ireland�s highest, which attracts a huge volume of traffic each year.
