Look Good Feel Better Ireland

At Look Good Feel Better we support women undergoing cancer treatment. We aim to improve their well being and confidence by providing free,non-medical, brand-neutral workshops and share advice on how to manage the appearance related side effects caused by cancer and its treatment.

overview

Each month in hospitals across Ireland, beauty workshops take place with over 700 women each year.  These workshops are facilitated
by professional beauty and hair volunteers and give some tips and techniques to the ladies in a relaxed and fun environment. This allows the ladies who participate to leave their illness aside for a short time and relax in the company of other women. The nurses from the oncology wards and the nurses from the Irish Cancer Society Daffodil center support the program me and invite the patients each month.

where your money goes

We are not government funded, we do receive donations from some cosmetic companies and product for the workshops, but we have to fund raise to keep the day to day business going. We raise money for new hospital workshops, recruiting new volunteers, printing and much much more.
