where your money goes

95c of every 1 raised goes directly towards project costs in Uganda. This cash is used to fund:
- Nurture Africa Community health care project which provides free treatment and care to HIV infected children and their parents/guardians. Currently over 1500 people are being supported by this project
- Primary healthcare project which provides free primary healthcare treatment to vulnerable children for deadly but curable illnesses such as malaria, pneumonia, TB, measles and diarrhea.
- Sustainable Livelihoods Project provides financial management and business training followed by a micro-finance loan which is used to enable vulnerable families work themselves out of poverty.
- Child Rights Project ensures that any child that is verbally, physically or sexually abused has the right to justice. We therefore ensure that children and adults are aware of the rights of a child and reported child abuse cases are adequately followed up in the community until justice is achieved.

history

Founded in 2003 by Irishman Brian Iredale, Nurture Africa (formerly A-Z Children's Charity) focused upon providing healthcare and education to the most vulnerable children within the communities within with the organisation operated. Nurture Africa was registered as an International NGO in 2005 and is supported by Irish Aid. Nurture Africa provides access to healthcare (within its own purpose built health centre), education, economic empowerment and child rights projects.  Today in Uganda, Nurture Africa is sustaining the employment over 60 Ugandan staff members across all departments.
