Rosabel's Rooms

Rosabel’s Rooms was established by parents Suzanne McClean and Gary Monroe in memory of their beloved daughter, Rosabel, who died suddenly and unexpectedly in April 2017, aged just sixteen months.
Rosabel’s Rooms in collaboration with Irish Hospice Foundation, was launched on the 5th January 2018, on what would have been Rosabel’s 2nd birthday.
The project is working in three areas:
• "Rosabel's Room to Heal Fund"  provides direct financial support to parents coming to terms with child-loss.   This practical support helps cover funeral expenses, time off work and other costs parents face at this difficult time.
• "Rosabel’s Room to Talk" facilitates therapeutic supports for those impacted by child loss and is available to parents, siblings and other family members.
• Through the Design & Dignity Programme at Irish Hospice Foundation, this project facilitates the development of family-friendly bereavement suites in hospital emergency departments to provide comfort and dignity for families following the loss of a loved one.

Helen McVeigh,  Director of Fundraising at IHF said: “We are proud of our partnership with Rosabel’s Rooms which is  supporting parents and families coming to terms with the loss of a child, aged up to 21. We rely on fundraising and voluntary donations for this work and are grateful to everyone that is supporting us".

where your money goes

Rosabel's Rooms is dependent on voluntary funding and we are very grateful for all support, donations and fundraising.   We use these vital funds to directly help parents, siblings  and other family members coming to terms with the loss of a child.    Your generosity means we can provide Rosabel's Room to Heal grants to parents, offer therapeutic supports through Rosabel's Room to Talk and continue our partnership with Irish Hospice Foundation Design and Dignity programme for hospitals.
