Shankill Ballybrack Community First Responders

The main object for which the body is established is to provide for the relief of sickness and distress and benefit the communities of Shankill/ Ballybrack through the provision of assistance to people who suffer cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, choking and other medical emergencies and to provide education and training to the community. We are linked to the National Ambulance Service and we are alerted to the medical emergencies mentioned above and a volunteer responder then attends to scene providing basic life support and aid until the ambulance arrives.

overview

Shankill & Ballybrack Community First Responders is a not-for-profit community organization established in 2018 that provides voluntary basic lifesaving interventions to individuals in our community in their time of need. We respond to calls involving cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke and chocking as well as first-aid-related calls. Our responders aim to arrive in the first vital minutes of an incident, sometimes before an ambulance arrives, providing the quickest possible treatment for the patient.

We welcome donations from anyone, small or big, as every little helps. Funds are used to replace equipment after each emergency call, to maintain and install Public Access Defibrillators in our service area.
