Formed in 1951, Variety – the Children’s Charity of Ireland has made a real difference to children’s lives throughout the country. Variety Ireland can help fund equipment, tools and services that positively impact children, families, schools and local communities.
We specialise in helping fund items such as mobility trikes and educational devices which we try to source sustainably where we can - so that we are not only looking after our children's futures, but also the world we live in!

We have been helping sick, disadvantaged & special needs children all across the island of Ireland since 1951.

Recycle Mobility
Our Recycle Mobility Programme is a unique idea that focuses on promoting access to upcycled specially adapted trikes, for children who cannot use conventional bicycles.
Not only does this initiative offer inclusion to children of different abilities, but as the trikes are pre-loved, it is also environmentally friendly!

iPads for Schools
Variety Ireland is passionate about helping children who require additional supports with learning. We recognise the essential duties that every Special Needs Assistant carries out on a daily basis, in helping children with learning difficulties.
By providing an iPad to every National School, we hope that we can help in some small way to make learning more accessible to some. By using upcycled iPads instead of brand new ones, we can limit the amount of carbon produced through manufacturing and international shipping.
