Declan is a 57 year old husband father and grandfather from Granard, Co Longford. He was and still is a passionate outgoing cattle man who bought and sold cattle all over the country.

On 31st December last Declan suffered a brain haemorrhage changing his life forever. Since then, Declan has fought a tough battle with the assistance of Mullingar hospital and The National Rehabilitation hospital, to regain simple everyday things such as eating a biscuit and having a cup of tea. Unfortunately Declan has been unable to date to regain mobility, as a result will be a wheelchair user for life requiring a high level of assistance.
