''Together for Ger''
The Brady family have created this page for our brother and son, Ger Brady.
Ger is 43 years-old. He and his wife, Karen, and their newborn baby, Dylan, who was born in January 2023, live in Claremorris (Mayo).
Ger was diagnosed with the life-changing condition of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in August 2022.
We need to raise funds for Ger, Karen and Dylan as they are facing many changes to their lives, and to provide some stability for Ger's family into the future.
The monies raised will assist with ongoing medical care and support for Ger, and for the management of his future needs.
Housing adaptation is necessary for wheelchair accessibility and essential medical equipment.
An adaptive wheelchair-accessible vehicle is also essential for transportation to frequent medical appointments in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
As many of you will know, Ger has been a familiar presence in GAA circles in Mayo and beyond for more than 30 years.
He excelled as a footballer for his club Claremorris, and also represented Mayo at both underage and senior levels.
To acknowledge his service, dedication, commitment and passion for the sport, a charity GAA match will take place in Ger rsquo;s hometown pitch of Claremorris in the summer of 2023.
Former inter-county players and many of Ger rsquo;s club-mates will dust off their football boots for the occasion, and we would kindly ask that you might support this fundraiser when the time comes in order to help us through these tough times.
Any donations (big or small) is much appreciated.
A percentage of all funds raised will be donated to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).
Thank you for taking the time to read this message, as we all join lsquo;Together For Ger rsquo;.
