I am a native of rural Galway East and live in Athenry, with my wife Shelly, 3 children, 1 dog and hens. I work as a manager in software development.

I am a national board member of the largest patient-led charity in Ireland, and I am known nationally for promoting organ donation, including on TV and radio.
I volunteer with various local community groups, for example to rebuild our local Community Centre and playground. Last year I organised a litter pick with about 50 volunteers taking part.
I was very involved in the Marriage Equality and Repeal campaigns in rural Galway.
I came up with the slogan “Rural, Progressive, Green” a which is now being used bycandidates across Ireland.
