It all starts with a single step… Walking towards a brighter future with MSC Missions

Following the success of our first ever MSC hike along the Camino Inglés last year, we are delighted to announce that we are teaming up with corkbackpackers.ie on a new, exciting, energising adventure! Summer 2025 will see us take on a series of hikes here on Irish soil, with the expert support of the Cork Backpackers team to help us along the way.

The first hike will take place on 20th July in Gougane Barra.

What’s included?

Each hike will take place under expert guidance, with experienced guides leading us every step of the way for a safe and memorable adventure. You will be well looked after, making each hike an unforgettable experience for all the right reasons!

You’ll also have a quick and easy way to set up your personal fundraising page if you wish, with all the support you need to get started.

Remember, hiking boots are essential!

How do I get involved?

1. Registration fee: €30

2. Fundraising target: €100

3 Commit to raising funds to support the vital work that the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart carry out to transform lives for the better in 40 locations around the world.

Each hiker will pay a registration fee of €30 for their place on the walk, and commit to raising €100 for the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. The funds that you raise will be used directly to support life-changing initiatives that reduce human suffering and assist vulnerable families, young children, and disadvantaged communities in their journey towards education, greater self-sufficiency, and brighter prospects for the future.

Whether your boots are well worn already or you’re an enthusiastic beginner, all are very welcome to join us on this wonderful opportunity to experience some of Ireland’s most beautiful walks, while making a real difference.
