Our swim has been going since the mid sixties, orignally started to raise funds to buy a deep freeze for Cahersiveen Social Services. We now provide funds for lots of local caused.
We built toilet and changing facilities a couple of years ago which are open to the public in the summer months. These facilities were privately funded and maintained. Monies raised from our annual swim will help maintain and improve these facilities going forward. We ask for people who are not around for the swim but may use these facilites during the Summer months to maybe make a small contribution to help us continue provide these facilties at our favourite swimming spot.
