One of our Cherry Orchard Running Club members, Gary Craven is taking on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro in February 2023 for the Children's Summer Project in Cherry Orchard. The challenge is a huge undertaking as Kilimanjaro has an evelvation of 5,895 meters. It will take on average about 4 to 7 hours of hiking every day over 7 days to reach the summit.
Our annual Summer project is for children from the Cherry Orchard community, for 5 action packed days of activities and trips involved. We offer the summer camp free to all - no one is left behind.
