My name is Gavin Quinn, I’m 26 years old and I work in Communications and Journalism. I worked as a sports journalist for four years before my passion for cycling saw me tour Europe on my bike in 2022. I cycled almost 5000 km before returning home to work with Cycling Ireland as their Press and Communications Officer. But after covering the Irish cycling season and working with the Irish National Team at the Cycling World Championships last year, I’m inspired to take on the world once again. In July, I’ll take on the challenge of my life as I attempt to cycle from Dublin to Vietnam by bicycle - all while raising money for Purple House Cancer Support. Expected to total over 15,000km across the world, this trip will take everything I have!
