6th October 2023
Memorial Walk Details
Join us at Tullamore Harriers on the 6th of October 2023 and walk with us anytime between 5pm and Midnight in memory of James O’ Connor.
We are asking the people of the Midlands to join us at Tullamore Harriers (or at your own location) where we will be walking to remember James and acknowledge the contribution he has made towards improving the mental health of the people in the Midlands through the setting up of Accessible Counselling Tullamore and through the Tullamore Goes Green initiative.
We would love everyone to come along and join us anytime between 5pm and midnight and to walk with us for as long as you can
The night will kick off with an opening ceremony framed by the setting sun, there will be music by local artists and a brief opening address and a time for reflection.
The walk will then commence on the running track where everyone can walk at their own pace. The route is safe and clearly marked and there will be stewards and support crew on hand, gentle music playing and food and refreshments available by local vendors.
Every participant will be given a tea light to place along the track. These will line the route and will each one will symbolise a life that James touched.
There is no registration fee for the walk - instead we ask that you make a donation to this event by clicking the donate button.
1 Mile Race Details
There will also be a 1 mile race at 6:30pm for those who would like to participate.
The cost to register for the race is €10. Please click the register button now if you would like to sign up for the race.
