Make Your Mark on Cancer 2024 is taking place July 14th!

Make Your Mark 2024, is a 22km sponsored walk held in memory of Mark Prendergast, who sadly lost his battle with Testicular Cancer in June 2012. This year’s Make Your Mark on Cancer event will honour Micheál Sheridan, CEO of the The Foundation, who sadly lost his battle with cancer on June 4th, after a short illness. 

This year’s walk marks a very special milestone for the Make Your Mark team, as the Mercy Cancer CARE Centre, which was a long term ambition of theirs, opened its doors earlier this year at 9 Dyke Parade.

The Make Your Mark Team decided to dedicate this year’s walk to Micheál, who was instrumental in bringing the Mercy Cancer CARE Centre to fruition.

Since its inception in 2012, ‘Make Your Mark on Cancer’ has raised over €500,000. We are so grateful for your support to date. The 22km walk begins at The Viaduct Inn on Sunday 14th July 2024 and ends in the Town Hall in Bandon.

Everyone is welcome to join the walk - you can even dress up if you like! We are committed to securing funding to support current, former and future cancer patients and their families at the Mercy Hospital.

Thanks to you we can help them through this difficult and worrying time. Your support is so important, now more than ever.

How To Register for Make Your Mark 2024:

Registration is €25, or free to all who take Sponsorship cards.

You have several options to register:

1. visit www.makeyourmark.ie
2. Telephone 086 4542132.
3. You can pick up a Sponsorship Card by WhatsApp - 086 4542132.
4. Registration will also take place at Bandon Town Hall in the weeks leading up to the Walk (dates and times TBC).
5. Registration will take place on the morning of the walk at the Viaduct.

On registration you will be given a Walk Number (Garda/insurance requirement) – all participants must get their Walk Number!

Sponsor Cards:

If you are taking a sponsor card during your registration, please note all sponsor cards must be returned the morning of the 14th of July before the walk begins.
