Marymount Christmas Cracker Cycle 2024

Marymount University Hospital and Hospice

30th November 2024
Cork, Cork, Ireland

The annual Christmas Cracker Cycle in aid of Marymount University Hospice will take place on Saturday, November 30

Now in its 15th year, the cycle provides a great day out while raising vital funds for Marymount. This year sees the two usual routes for participants to choose from, both starting and finishing at Marymount. See more details on both routes below.

Start time: 10.00am Registration from 8.30am.

Anyone driving to the start will be directed to park at the Greyhound stadium which is just across the N40 from Marymount.

For the main start at 10.00 am, Gardai will provide assistance to get cyclists safely around the Bandon Road Roundabout and up the Liberties hill past Dunnes.

The ‘Mini Cracker’ route of 60km will turn left just before Innishannon, then Dunderrow, Kinsale, Halfway and back to Marymount.

The ‘Maxi Cracker’ route of 80km will go through Innishannon, Bandon, Kilbrittain, Ballinspittle, Kinsale, Halfway and back to Marymount.

Routes will be well signposted with backup from motorcycle marshals and support vehicles.

To register for this event click the Register button. There is no event registration fee as participants are instead asked to make a voluntary donation.

Refreshments will be provided to cyclists at start and end of cycle in Marymount. Cyclists are encouraged to dress themselves in festive attire and to decorate their bikes.

Marymount needs to raise over €3.0m each year to continue providing its vital services and annual events like this contribute greatly to ensuring we can uphold the high standard of services provided to those in our care and their families.
