Take on the BIG Walk challenge and help us raise vital funds to provide clean water.

Girls and women walk up to 10km every day to collect water from ponds, streams and rivers – hours missed from school and work.  But it’s the only way to get water for drinking, cooking and cleaning and this water is contaminated and can transmit diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio.

“If you want to go fast, go alone.  If you want to go far, go together”.  (African proverb)

Access to clean water and sanitation is a basic human right but there are no quick fix solutions. Since 2006, we have enabled 56,551 people to access clean water through rain water harvesting, spring protection and gravity fed schemes. 111,000 children across 342 schools have toilets and water to wash their hands. We haven’t done it alone and we have to go far to reach many more families, villages and schools in the region. With your help we can get there together.
