Hello,
I'll be dressing up as Olaf from Frozen on April 24 and running the London Marathon for My Canine Companion, a really fanastic Irish charity that trains Autism Service Dogs. The dogs go to young children on the autism spectrum and can dramatically improve the quality of life that they and their families can enjoy. Children prone to wandering during the night can have their dog standing guard at their bedroom doors, children who get anxious easily can calm themselves by petting their dog, children who find it hard to make relationships with peers get a best buddy who they can bond powerfully with. Families can take their children out knowing that their service dog will keep them safe, and calm. It costs between €8,000 - €10,000 to train a dog, and I'm hoping to raise that amount through marathons and other events over the coming years. Any support would be most appreciated. Pictures of me kitted out as Olaf to follow in due course.
All the best,
Laura
