We know first hand what it is like to lose a child to cancer.
We don’t want anyone to go through what we did but unfortunately we know that every week about 4 new families in Ireland will start on a journey that will change their lives forever.
“We’re sorry, but your child has cancer,” or worse, “We’re sorry, but there’s nothing more we can do.” Words no parent should ever hear.
During our journey with Gavin while he was battling cancer we travelled to a number of different countries with Europe and the US.
We understand the mammoth task of what is involved so our current mission in The Gavin Glynn Foundation is to help all families who need to travel overseas for cancer treatment with their child.
We want to take this financial burden and stress away from the families so they can focus all their time on their child and family.
Our mission is to be able to assist families with:
Transportation (eg. Flights, Car Hire).
Accommodation within, or close to, the designated medical center.
Food and living expenses for the duration of the child’s treatment while abroad.
