Dan Geelon and Myself decided last year to take on the challange of running the length of the Royal Canal from the River Liffey in Dublin to the River Shannon at Termonbarry in County Roscommon over the May Bank holiday weekend with a canal distance of 148km and an additional distance of approximately 16km away from the canal to reach accommodation. Having decided to do this we felt that it was an ideal excuse to fundraise for some worthy causes and we decided on Our Ladys Hospice & Care Services in Harolds Cross and St. Francis Hospice in Raheny. Dan chose Harolds Cross as they recently lookied after his Aunt in her final days and I chose St. Francis as it's an integral part of the community where I live and they've also looked after some friends and neighbours over the last few years. All funds raised here will go directly to these great causes. I hope you can help us by donating whatever you can. Simply click the Donate button above. All donations are processed securely.
