Event Details

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page on iDonate.ie. On Tuesday 22nd October, I will be joining a team of 15 Cork cyclists who will set out to cycle the Camino De Santiago along the Portuguese Way.  Our trip starts in Porto and will take us along the coast to the Spanish border, across the Rio Mino and on to the city of Santiago de Compostela - a total of 250km over 4 days.

All costs for the event are paid for by participants and in addition we hope to raise well over €20,000 to fund a new laboratory for DNA testing at the Mercy University Hospital Foundation.

This evening, Monday 2nd December, the Fort2Fort Camino group will present a cheque for over €42,000 to the Mercy Hospital Cork. Thank you to everyone who donated to my fundraising efforts, which reached over €9,500 for this outstanding cause. Many thanks, in particular, to my colleagues in Johnson & Perrott for their support. We are now winding up this years fund raising and are now turning attention to our project for October 2020. #vivalaronda

Saturday 5th October - Our team participated in the Great Railway Cycle as a warm up to the main event. Wonderful event but shocking weather ! Well done to Carrigaline Lions Club and Mark Ginn who ran a superbly organised event and to Minister Simon Coveney who showed up in torrential rain to start us off.
