CHEEERS: Developing Healthcare Together works together with developing communities to improve healthcare services and to promote education and training of healthcare professionals. It was established in 2015 by a group of Irish healthcare professionals who have volunteered at Kisiizi Hospital, Uganda and within the local community since 2005.

We believe that for healthcare to develop, local healthcare professionals must be empowered to develop their own services to benefit their patients and communities.

We want to strive to empower educational experiences and foster sustainable healthcare developments through community partnerships.

Our Mission

Our mission is to contribute to the relief of poverty, advancement of education and benefit communities in the developing world, through partnership of medical and allied health professionals with local stakeholders.

We achieve our mission and vision by creating a platform between motivated professional healthcare volunteers, keen to share their skills, time and expertise and local partners in developing communities seeking our support. Our work is made possible by those who contribute generously to our organisation.
