Pádraig was one of the first people I met when I moved to Dublin over 10 years ago. Bhuaileamar sa Chonradh ar dtús le Radio Rí Rá s ceol s ól. We had trips to Kerry, Donegal and even TCD all the way from Belfield. Is bhí dhá turas agam chun na Gearmáine buíochas le Schäler! It's obvious Pádraig is one of my most intelligent friends fós understanding Gaeilge, Béarla, Spanish and German. However he needs full time care so 40+ friends are getting together to climb Cróch Phádraig and celebrate ár saol together. I've just had surgery on my elbow with lots of metal added so I may not make it to the top but I'm looking forward to the challenge! Tá súil agam gur féidir leat cabhrú liom tacú le mo chara aoibhinn álainn!

About the Cause
Caring for Padraig
Padraig Schaler, a 2013 TCD graduate from Glasnevin, Dublin, acquired a very severe brain injury when he was hit by a van on 27 June 2013 as he cycled to work on Cape Cod. Nobody was ever prosecuted.
He is now living with his family in Dublin. He requires 24-hour care and is fully dependent.
All proceeds go to the Caring for Padraig fund, administered by a Committee independent of the family.
idonate was established in 2011 to assist charities & non profits in fundraising. Our aim is to provide tools for both charities and fundraisers to help raise much needed funds.
