17th Aug back to training after the high of Saturday joined by Mary and our new sista, Colin..

15th Aug a balmy warm Saturday, we set off On our 5km bay buffet... from Blackrock tower Joined by our sistas, Eimear (who has just had a new baby) and Colin who just happened to be down in bkackrock! A fantastic swim... so much fun

13th August - 7am swim with my swim sista, Mary we took off from the slip in Blackrock to the tower and back. A Fresh Start to the morning, after the heavy rain, although we had no sighting I understand that even a dolphin was up and swimming near the rocks. Plenty of jellies for company this morning!!

Tuesdays 2km swim

Tues 11th Aug - another 2km swim. My neck is feeling a bit stiff not sure if its a camping related injury (no pillow) !!

Mon Aug 10th - week 3: 2km swim in the glorious sun and beautify waters of Ballyconneely

Aug 8th out camping in Ballyconneely for a few days, today’s swim was 3km across to another beautiful White sandy beach and back..

Friday 7th August - a short easy swim on my rest day in beautiful Ballyconneely in the sun- heaven

Aug 3rd another sunny morning in blackrock, joined by Keith who is not only a delightful person but also an amazing swimmer. Did another 2km swim Loop. We were jointed in the water by Grainne who was out taking a few if her amazing pics.. great day!

Aug 1st a glorious sunny morning on Saturday, the splash sistas, Julia, Anna, Aoife joined by Keith the shark and Gina on her new SUP hit the water. A fabulous swim to palmers, up to Blackrock tower and back to the slip, lots of beautiful jelly fish to keep us company!

Day 2 An early start this morning, the splash sistas, Julia, Mary and myself hit the sea at 7am.. t’was wild and bouncy out there.. great start to the day

Day 1 training has started

Myself and my swim buddy, Mary are doing the 2020 virtual Galway Bay Swim, a total distance of 13km during the month of August in support of Cancer Care West. Please help us to help them by donating whatever you can using the “Donate” button. The funds raised will help support many patients and families that are going through cancer in the west of Ireland.
